One day, a couple of months ago, my husband said "let's take the girls to buy Uggs." I was shocked, but didn't say anything. After they spent hours deciding on which shade of brown to choose, the saleswoman rang up the total. My husband was floored! He had NO idea how much Uggs cost. He thought they were going to be $30 or $40 each. Surprise! He was too embarrassed to say anything so he paid without saying a word. Needless to say, they will be getting the Target ones again next year.

p.s. LOVE your blog! How does she know this? All her friends repeatedly tell her. We've got Ugg envy, too.

I laughed when I read your comment about asking the girls to turn on the Wii for you. Even though it's partly financial (you're in the same boat with the majority of the US, anyway!), you're doing the right thing by not getting sucked in to that, especially at their young age. If you were able to go ahead with it, it's likely they'd be insisting on clothing by designers like Michael Kors by the time they're 14. :)Melisa Wellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14252498482861679154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6121175953658827634.post-7086433133683570122009-01-19T13:16:00.000-05:002009-01-19T13:16:00.000-05:00lolI don't know what it is about them either.
