It has not snowed more than a few flakes on Cape Cod so far this winter. My mom, B and I stopped by Skaket Beach to say hi yesterday and this is what we saw. It was like a scene out of Rudolph where Yukon Cornelious cuts the iceberg and floats away with Herbie and Rudolph.
I would love to give you the scientific reasoning behind big ice flow blocks on the beach, but I do not have one. So you will just have to enjoy an interesting part of nature!
Happy Sunday!

I love Cape Cod. That is where Hubby and I spent our Honeymoon!
I LOVE Skaket!! I will have to tell my parents to go there next weekend when they are at the Cape - my Dad would love seeing this!
Ice and beach together is just wrong ;-) This Aussie can't cope with that idea at all!
Soooooo cool!!!
Love it. We haven't had any snow in nw NJ yet either...and certainly no ice floes :)
Great shots! I have never been to a beach with snow on it....some day! Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!
Wow! I have been to Cape Cod twice, but NEVER when it look like that. Thanks for the great pictures.

Happy SIMC, jj
Pretty!!
Stopping by from SIMC. It looks cold, but you look happy. Hope you enjoyed your weekend!
Wonderful. I've been watching Yukon Cornelius a lot lately.
It seems all wrong to see ice on the beach like that but it is something that I would like to see one day. Your photos are amazing.
Looks cold and warm at the same time. Here in Finland it's only cold! :)
Have a good week ahead!
I love Cape Cod...but I can't say I'd be loving it in the winter. I will admit the ice ON the beach is pretty neat though.
Merry Christmas - stopping by from Georgie's SSS list.
Sunny weather and ice! What a combination!
