Why do I have a hard time getting up when the alarm goes off at 5:45, but have no problem thinking a million thoughts at 4:00am?
I solve most of the world's problems at 4am with my eyes shut willing myself to go back to sleep.
Early this morning, I cured cancer, solved financial issues, gave good advice to my girls and cleaned my house all with my eyes shut in my bed. Yes, I am that amazing.
I even wrote a blog post or two, but now I cannot remember them. That is the unfortunate thing about 4am; I can't be bothered with writing anything down.
I can, however, give you an example of me trying to go back to sleep.....
Me: 100, 99, 98, 97
Brain: Oooh, you forgot to bring in your rent check today.
Me: 96, 95, 94,
Brain: Don't forget to write that note for B about whatever before she goes to school.
Me: 100, 99, 98
Brain: What can you do to help so and so and so and so. Hmmm, there must be something.....
Me: What the heck number was I on? 100, 99, 98, 97, 96
Brain: Must take whatever to the dump....
Just get up and go write that post....
I am going to be so tired by 10am....
Me and Brain: Arghhhhh!
I think I need a nanny cam for my brain so I can remember all these awesome ideas I create. Either that or a required nap time.

I've had the 4 AM wake ups! Those are the worse. I used to have a notepad on my nightstand and scribble in the dark what popped into my head and it did help me go back to sleep.
It was a messy list but it worked :)
I play the jump rope game in my head now.
A is Ann and Alan they live in Alaska and they sell apples! When I get to Z I know I am in TROUBLE

Yes, what Patty said. I also have a notebook on my night stand so I don't obsess about stuff when I should be sleeping!
