The girls decided that they had to get spiffed up to walk around the grounds. My parents came too, because everyone wants to get a look at luxury!
Our room was beautiful and the beds......ooooohhhhh sooooo comfy!!!! As K kept saying, 'look at the complimentary robe I have and the complimentary slippers'. (I am sure they would have only been about $150 if they had found their way into our suitcase.)
B in "her" robe.
K with Thumper and Lambie. (They were the chosen ones who got to join us for our night of elegance!)
My sister tried to horn in on the overnight. Actually, we begged her to stay and she declined, but not after spooning with B for awhile.
Happy girls in a comfy bed.
We finally hauled our asses out of those beds on Friday to get to the pool. This is where a cute man laid out our towels on our cushioned loungers. My mom was so hot, she even went in the pool. Here's proof...
This is a once every 10 year type of thing (the girls didn't even think she could swim). They had cabanas that you could rent if you were actually rich, not pretending to be. They were separated by cute sea life.
All in all, a fabulous experience! Well worth the 2 year wait! Of course, we are trying to secure a few more days there....all we need is a sugar daddy....or a winning lottery ticket....or a spare key....B in "her" robe.

What a special memory for the whole family. I love the photos but they sure make me miss Chatham right about now!
Your mom? That would be ME. I hate swimming. My kids get all hysterical when I even put on a suit. "Mom, why are you wearing a swimsuit?! Are you going to get in the water?! Dad!! Mom's going to go in the water!!" Then, I just lay there in the beach chair while they eventually give up on me. However, I DID take a dip in the ocean when Kendall and I did our roadtrip last summer to CAlifornia. I just had to (for her). :)
Glad you enjoyed living the highlife! Looks like fun :)
I miss Cape Cod, no vacation there this year. I drool everytime I see that hotel. Lucky you!
How fun!
Is your next hotel stay in Chicago, or do you have more vacations before that? hahahaha
P.S. I bought some M&Ms today.
What a fun experience!
Melisa with one S, I certainly hope the hotel you are staying at in Chicago is like the ones Sue is use to staying in. Will there be slippers and robes and fluffy pillows? She is such a Princess, you know! I brought her up that way! Good that the M&M's are in supply. She gets cranky if she doesn't have those. Take good care of her - she is not use to BIG buildings. Have fun. Sally (the Mom)
What a wonderful experience for you and your family! I hope you can return one day via a sugar daddy, winning lottery ticket or a spare key. LOL
Great pics!
I'm still trying to figure out how to make our bed that comfy!
