This week I took Little Dude (I babysit him) to a store that has ducks in a pond that you can feed. The bread was more interesting to Little Dude than the ducks and the tractors were extremely enthralling to him. Actually, the tractor looked really cool when it reflected in the duck pond....
They were decked out for fall with scarecrows and pumpkins!

I love the shot of the tractor reflecting in the water.
I was the type of kid - and adult - that can watch a hole being dug. I think your son and I have the same fascination :)
