Super Bowl (Commercial) Fever

These days all we are hearing about is the upcoming election. This is all very important (of course), but today I am giving you a break from the every day crap slinging, blow hards. Ouch that was kind of mean.

Anyhoo, today on the radio I heard about her.

This girl is a single, New Yorker who is looking for a husband. Forget about The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and any other dating reality show. This girl is trying to raise 3 million dollars for a thirty second Super Bowl commercial. An interesting idea. She is not picking the Super Bowl audience because she loves football and athletics in general. She is looking at this as a numbers game. Where else in the world can you find that many men watching the same thing?

I have to say, I am worried for this girl. Think of all the crack pots out there. Think of all the drunk Super Bowl watchers.

She is only at $2000 so far, but she has already been on the Today show twice. If you send her $10,000 you will get an invitation to her wedding. If she does not raise the amount to buy a spot, she will donate the money she has raised to the United Way.

OK, discuss.....

I heard about her the other day.

The first thing I thought? Not that everyone who watches the Super Bowl is a football freak (in a "good" way), but does she realize the odds of her getting a guy who will make her a Football Widow every year?

I hope she has other hobbies, that's all I'm sayin'.

You mean someone already donated $2,000? That, in and of itself, is beyond me.

Um, for $2,000.00 I'll let her sit on my front lawn with a homemade sign...

Novel approach. Me thinks she's got an ulterior motive.

10K and all we get is a lousy wedding invite? I wanna be maid of honor!

Maybe she should try looking in her own back yard.
Might be a little cheaper.
I am just sayin'!

It's certainly clever, although, a bit desperate.

My co-worker was just telling me today about her. Why doesn't she just go on a reality show like the rest of the world??

I'm not worried at all. This is all PR for her and the CDs and it is working! Shoot. Maybe I need to figure out some way to sell myself.
