Wreath Making 101

My mom and I went to a class downtown yesterday on seashell wreath making. I thought it would be fun and figured there was a glue gun in the picture. (Is there more fun than using a glue gun? I think not. )

So we went planning on making a Christmas present and knocking someone off our list. What we did was make ourselves a wreath and said to hell with our Christmas present list. Maybe if we collect some shells on the beach in the next month, someone else will get one of these beauties.

You're impressed, right?

BTW, mine looks great against my blue kitchen wall, thanks!

Please come visit me in Maine so I can take you out in the Old Port and show you 10,000 things that are more fun than using a glue gun!

I'm glad you've found your happiness with a glue gun. I've yet to make my peace with one. Forgive my ignorance, but what's the stuff around the shells?

Wow! Those are great!

My glue gun is 21 years old and the best $14.99 I EVER spent. I LOVE IT.

I always get injuries from glue guns. I made a weath two years ago at a wreath making class, and it's been on my front door ever since. It was a lots of fun!

They're very pretty and what a nice rememberance of a trip to the beach. Where did you get the starfish and sand dollars? As for glue guns, I don't like using them for the simple reason I hate all the glue stringyness you have to pick off.

I'm with Sarah...
I think glue guns hate me...

Your wreath is really pretty...
Here in Florida, we collect some GREAT shells on the Gulf shores we visit regularly...

My daughter made some GREAT picture frames with shells, hot glue and dollar store wooden frames. They looked really expensive when she was done...

PS - I thought you should know that I really did endure much ridicule from all of the Rays fans (who call themselves my peeps)that I am surrounded by down here...
Last game - 8th inning... I practically cried!!

Thanks for the comments guys! The wreath part was already made and it was made out of birch twigs? Something like that. I was pretty glad that I didn't have to make twigs into a circle myself!
Just so you know, I went out and bought a super dooper glue gun today to replace my mini one! Glueing here I come!
