And this is my 400th post!
I spent the weekend taking family photos. Very important family photos, that is.
The girls have played dollhouse for as long as I can remember. When they were smaller, it was with Little People or Barbies or American Girl Dolls mixed in with the Fisher Price Loving Family. Now it is just the Loving Family people. When they were little, I tried to play with them, but they were too bossy. They would tell me what to say and where my person should be. I felt my creativity was being compromised, so I let them play by themselves. Now they will play for hours together on the weekends if their busy schedules allow. {It's a secret though, so don't tell their friends, ok?}
From what I can gather, there are 3 main families. They all have names and they each have a house. They go on camping trips down the hall, their kids have babysitters, there is a "difficult" child in each family and everyone has a name. And they each talk certain people and their certain people are not all in one family. To an outsider, it is confusing. To them it is pure bliss.
This is Susan's house. She has a large family.

Happy Blog-versary!
That is awesome! It is good to know that your girls still enjoy playing with these! It is so great for their imagination! Fifi plays with her lambs but keeps that info from her friends because they have all discovered... BOYS... She stuffs her "Lamby" into her backpack everyday and off she goes.
I also thank you for Blogging and getting me into it as well. I enjoy reading it and knowing I am not the only mom out there going through some of the craziness we do:)
Happy Blogday! I love this. I am treasuring the make believe and pretend play that yes, even Lucas still does some time. Anabelle enjoys the time she has to play so much. She is still cross cultural, in that she integrates stuffed animals with glass animals, people who are invisible with the american girl dolls. Interesting, there is usually a conflict like a problem child, or a too talkative child, or parents who are in some way redirecting the children's behavior. I kind of wish I had a make believe world to travel to sometimes. LOL. Court
Congratulations! Most blogs don't live to see one birthday, let alone two.
Dollhouses are the greatest invention ever. Period.
Happy 400th post!
Happy 400th post!
Wow, those families posed really well. Are these photos for their holiday card next year?
Kendall played with dolls through sixth grade, I think, and I loved it. Let them be young as long as they can, I say....
