Frag'n Friday!

Mrs. 4444's gives her peeps another opportunity to empty out our minds of those random thoughts....

Friday Fragments?

The girls went back to school yesterday. I missed them, they didn't even think about me. You know when you go on vacation and you are so busy being on vacation and seeing the sites that you don't think of the people back home so much, but the people back home are doing their normal routine and are thinking of you a lot? Yeah, I guess that was how yesterday was.

One mom was dropping her 5th grade son off right in front of the front door yesterday. She got out of her truck went around to the kid, picked lint off his sweater, fixed his hair a little, and gave him a big hug and a kiss. He let her. This is why you shouldn't put 5th graders in with 8th graders. That kid doesn't stand a chance.

There is a huge seal population on the Cape.

Evidently, now there is a smaller, yet hungry Great White population.

And when I say Great White, I don't mean some fat guy floating around without a tan.

I mean sharks, people, sharks! Pretend I am humming the shark attack theme song from Jaws.

I am shooting family portraits and a wedding today. And I need a shower. What exactly am I doing on my computer right now?

I took the girls and 2 friends to Water Wizz on Wed. It was nice because a lot of towns had started school, so it wasn't too crowded. One of my friends that I happened to run into there said, "Why exactly do we live on the Cape where there are beautiful beaches and we pay to come to an industrial beach?" Good question. Naturally I picked our seats next to the loudest, most obnoxious family there. "Um, excuse me. Your kids are right next to you. Do you have to yell at them for them to hear you?"

Tuesday we went to Nauset Beach with some very special friends. We sat down and a seagull pooped on the cooler. Thank God it wasn't open!!!

Do you ever get to a point in your life, week, day that you think, "something has got to give and then we can get on with things?" I am sorry if that doesn't make sense to all of you, but sometimes I feel like a volcano is ready to blow any minute. Of course I have felt this way for a year and a half. I don't know if I can convince people that the wrinkles are on my face because of smiling not stress much longer.

How did it get to be September already when I was just getting used to writing '09?

Happy Labor Day weekend!!!!

What a cute little seal.

I know what you mean about hiding stress. It seems we all do. It's not good for us. I hope whatever it is that is causing you stress ends soon.

Happy FF

You WILL get rid of all those sharks before I come to visit. They are UNACCEPTABLE.

The girls? Beautiful?

The shark? NOT beautiful.

Hallie :)

You better get that shower in today!

I'm not a big fan of sharks. Maybe on nature shows, but not up close.

The seal is adorable...the shark is the exact reason I don't get in the ocean past my boobs.

Somehow I always get seated next to obnoxious people whether it's in a restaurant or on an airplane. I must be a magnet for highly irritating people.

What pretty girls you have (wow, I sort of sounded like the big bad wolf when I said that)...so glad their enjoying school but sorry you are missing them. They'll miss you too...give them a week for the newness to wear off!

Have a great weekend!

I just saw a news story about the seals and great white's on the Cape. I wish I were there to see first hand (from the beach or a boat- not from the water). That has to be an amazing site. Do they breach there like they do on Seal Island?

Honestly...I really do feel like I'm about to explode or something. Seriously. I totally get what you mean. I'm just go go go go go all the time. Advocating for our adoption and on meds and crap for fertility and working 50+ hours a week when I told them I only want to work 35, then having to do my cleaning job on the weekends and having a husband who does absolutely nothing to help for anything.....

Oh boy, guess I needed to vent. Thanks!

I can't believe nobody made this comment about the sharks....

I think you're going to need a bigger boat!

I still kiss my 5th grader...AND I work at her school and hug her whenever I see her. She is doomed.

I have to tell you - I thought of that exact thing when I wrote 09 a few days ago! If only High School would have whipped by this quickly.

You had some great fragments :)

I love your Frag'n Friday fragments!

I will comment in Fragment style.

The girls look beautiful!

I find that, when you don't want to embarrass your kid w/ a hug, a high five is good.

I love seals.

I am not crazy about sharks.

I wish I lived near a beach.

Love the tone of this post, even though you allude to something mysteriously not cheery. I trust that you will talk about it when the time is right.

I had to laugh when I saw the nice seal pic (thinking you took it) and then the SHARK pic, (which I'm guessing you did not take, all up-close and personal-like!)

Your girls look so sweet. Are they really so happy together all the time, or do they just pose nicely for you? Where does your one daughter get her red hair? You have a couple of beauties there...

The girls are adorable! Looks like they had a good week!

Seeing that seal kinda made me sad after seeing the HUGE JAWS-like SHARK under it. Poor seals!

I hope you get a break from the stress, or can find a healthy release. I know how bad stress can be on one.. Seems like we all hold it/hide it pretty well until one day, KABOOM! it blows up.

If you need a shoulder, my emails always open!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Loved your post. The girls are beautiful. The seal is cute. The shark is just plain frightening. I envy you your setting. I've always wanted to visit Cape Cod. I promise not to be the loud family sitting next to you.
As for exploding, I can relate. I have the feeling quite often. Stress is just so not healthy. And if anyone else asks about the wrinkles on your face, just smack him or her. You'll feel a little less stressed.

Seals are much more relaxing to observe than sharks, but all animals are beautiful, as are most people.
