A Dream Come True

Dear M&M World (NYC),

I was born and raised on M&Ms. My Grandmother would keep a bowl of them out on her hutch whenever we visited. My Mom was forever making M&M cookies. Once and awhile she would kick it up a notch and put crushed M&Ms in peanut butter bars. M&Ms weren't just holiday candies, they were everyday candies.

As an "adult" now, there is always an extra large bag in my refrigerator. I feel I am working my biceps by opening the fridge door and the abs by bending over to reach into the bag. M&Ms was the first candy my kids ever ate (probably months sooner than was PC).

So, walking into M&M world for the first time this past week (I was attending Blogher10), I almost wept. I would have gotten on my knees and kissed the floor if it wasn't for the millions of people in the store. I didn't want to get trampled by all the fans.

3 beautiful floors of M&M merchandise. Oh, how to choose?

I even got to meet Yellow!

Oh, the amounts of M&M's on the wall. My daughter, B, had given me specific colors to pick out and they were all there.

This jacket was a little out of my price range ($3000), but a girl can dream, right?

I never needed to go visit the Statue of Liberty while in NY, because I am sure she wouldn't have compared to Green.

Winters on Cape Cod can be long and lonely without the tourists around. Thank goodness I got the idea at your store of what to do with my wrappers!

Combining Blue with one of my favorite dance moves, was inspiring. I put on a show right there with him! I think I might have poked someone in the eye, but she insisted she was OK as she ran away.

All in all, a fantastic experience. I was the last one out of the store because I was waiting on a price for your billboard out front.

It would look great on the roof of my house!

Humbly,
Your Biggest Fan, Ascapecodturns

We have on in Las Vegas that looks kind of ghetto compared to the NYC version. M&M won me over again when they released pretzel M&Ms. It's like they were looking into my soul.

Awwww! YUM! Do you love the new M&Ms? I keep meaning to ask you-- have you tried them & do you like them? (Pretzel & Coconut!)

I am in LOVE with the coconut ones! :)

Well, clearly, you deserve a lifetime supply of M & M's for this devotion, at the very least!

Um...that new flavor (pretzel)...not my favorite.

Great. Now I want some M&M's!
